The Limeliters were part of the "Folk Revival of the early 1960's in the USA, and are often associated with the Kingston Trio in that regard. The group was extremely talented as well as commercial, which might put off some "folk purists." This album does not get the review it deserves elsewhere on the internet. It is an excellent album, full of great and entertaining music. The version of "Those Were the Days" is THE version the others must be measured by, and they all will be found wanting in comparison. I had this album as a teenager, and wore it out listening to it. I highly recommend it to anyone. There is no justice unless it is eventually re-issued on cd.
